“We see no grounds for such concern,” Peskov said in response to a question about the possible risks of Turkey abusing its position in the gas market.

He noted that both the Russian and Turkish sides are aware of the global situation in the gas market.

“There is a conjuncture, a world conjuncture for gas trade, and, of course, no one is going to go beyond the bounds of reason,” Peskov concluded.

Peskov also announced the development of a project to create a gas hub in Turkey.

Earlier, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey, Fatih Dönmez, said that the Turkish side had begun to carry out its part of the work under an agreement with Russia on a gas hub.

Sergei Pravosudov, General Director of the National Energy Institute, commented on the situation with world gas supplies in an interview with the Economics Today FBA.
