Late-night taxi call rates in the metropolitan area will start to increase from this week.

According to the government's measures to alleviate the late-night taxi problem announced earlier this month, half-half taxis and T-moneyonda are the first to apply late-night flexible calling rates.

From next month, Kakao T and Tada, which have the most users, will apply increased calling rates.

Accordingly, a call fee of up to 5,000 won will be charged when catching a taxi between 10:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. in the metropolitan area.

Calling rates increase in high-demand time zone areas and adjust flexibly.

From the first half of next year, the number of mandatory disclosure of apartment management expenses will be expanded from 100 households or more to 50 households or more.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced the 'Improvement Plan for Resolving Blind Spots in Management Fees and Transparency' in order to reduce the burden of administrative expenses on the common people and prevent accounting irregularities such as embezzlement.

It also included new obligations to prepare, store and disclose management fee accounting books for apartments with 50 or more to less than 150 households.

Last year, the entire nation spent 23 trillion won on apartment maintenance, which is an average of 180,000 won per household per month.

The government has decided to designate at least one in each of the five new towns, including Ilsan, Bundang, Middle East, Pyeongchon, and Sanbon, as a kind of demonstration complex for the reorganization of the first new city.

Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong held a meeting with the heads of local governments in the first new town and decided to designate at least one leading district for each of the five new towns, but local governments familiar with local conditions gathered opinions from residents and selected them directly.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is planning to include the grounds for designation of the leading district and guidelines in the 1st New City Reorganization Special Act, which is scheduled to be introduced in February 2023.
