Dairy farmers who have been supplying milk to Purmil, a dairy company specializing in dairy products, have taken collective action against the notice of Purmil's business closure.

About 50 farmers held a rally in front of the Purmil headquarters in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 25th and urged "I condemn the unilateral closure of Purmil" and "guarantee the right to live of dairy farmers."

Dairy farmers have been supplying crude oil for over 40 years under contract with Purmil, but as Purmil announced that it would close its business without notice next month, it was in a position to lose its crude oil supplier.

The amount of crude oil that farmers supply to Purmil is 40,000 tons per year.

Lee Sang-wook, president of the Imsil-gun Dairy Beef Association, said that the total debt owed by 20 farms to supply crude oil to Purmil was over 12 billion won. I complained that I didn't receive it.
