The board of directors of La Drôme Montagne announced on Wednesday an increase in the prices of ski passes in the Vercors resorts.

The decision was taken two days earlier by the joint syndicate which manages the stations, faced with a sharp rise in the price of energy;

explains France Bleu Drôme Ardèche.

The pass for alpine skiers will thus be sold for 22 euros, compared to 18 in 2021.

The day pass for Nordic skiing will cost 11 euros.

Christian Morin, president of La Drôme Montagne, said he was aware of the importance of the price increase.

However, he recalled that the increases had been minimal in previous years.

Faced with soaring energy bills, the union also wants to reduce its consumption by 10%.

To do this, the heating of the buildings will be lowered and the ski lifts will be stopped one hour earlier on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays outside school holidays.

In order to save fuel, snow groomer drivers will be introduced to less fuel-intensive driving.
