In anticipation of the expansion of the market for EV buses that run on electricity in Japan, Turkish manufacturers are aiming to enter the market following Chinese manufacturers.

The EV bus is a small bus from the Turkish commercial vehicle manufacturer Karsan, which has a total length of about 6 meters and can run about 210 kilometers on a single charge.

We are aiming to start sales next year, and in the future, we will explore the needs of domestic bus companies and local governments, and we will improve the door position and information display for Japan.

EV buses have not become popular in Japan, and Toshishige Ikeya, president of Altec, which imports Turkish EV buses, said, "In Japan, there is still room for growth in demand for small EV buses. We are confident that we can provide them. I want to do it."

Regarding EVs, Isuzu Motors and Hino Motors are planning to jointly start production in Japan from 2024.

On the other hand, BYD, a Chinese manufacturer that entered the Japanese market early, has set a cumulative sales target of 4,000 units in Japan by 2030, and competition between domestic and foreign manufacturers is likely to intensify in the future.
