Hino Motors has revealed that a class action lawsuit seeking damages has been filed by an Australian company that purchased trucks due to data fraud such as exhaust gas.

This is the second class action lawsuit involving fraud issues, following the one in the United States.

It became clear that Hino Motors had been submitting incorrect data such as exhaust gas data to the government for about 20 years. We are going to take preventative measures.

According to Hino Motors, a class action lawsuit was filed by an Australian company that purchased trucks from 2003 to this year, and is seeking damages against Hino Motors and a local subsidiary in a local court.

The specific amount is not stated in the complaint and is unknown.

Hino Motors exports domestically produced trucks to Australia, selling about 6,000 last year, but has now stopped exporting.

Hino Motors commented, "We will carefully examine the claims and claims of the plaintiffs and take appropriate action."
