China News Service, October 13. The Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the "Guangzhou Power Grid Development Plan (2022-2025)".
The plan proposes that, in terms of power supply structure, to ensure that the power self-sufficiency rate will increase to more than 50% in 2025, and the installed capacity of the backbone power supply will reach more than 13.6 million kilowatts.
In terms of renewable energy, by 2025, the installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation will reach 1 million kilowatts, and strive to reach 1.2 million kilowatts and above; the installed capacity of biomass power generation will reach 930,000 kilowatts; and the installed capacity of wind power will strive to reach 160,000 kilowatts.
In terms of power grid development, from 2022 to 2025, 76 new substations of 110 kV and above will be added in Guangzhou, reaching 466.
By 2025, put into operation key grid improvement projects such as the ±800 kV UHV DC transmission project and supporting projects from southeastern Tibet to Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Fully build a digital power distribution network with a centralized self-healing coverage rate of 100%. The average power outage time for users in the city is no more than 40 minutes per year, and in urban areas no more than 30 minutes per year.
In terms of energy conservation and emission reduction, from 2022 to 2025, 420,000 kilowatts of installed coal-fired power will be retired, and 760,000 kilowatts of new non-fossil energy will be installed.
By 2025, the utilization rate of renewable energy will remain at 100%, and the comprehensive line loss rate of the power grid will not be higher than 2.39%.
In terms of electricity guarantee for people's livelihood, promote the replacement of electricity by oil and gas in transportation, logistics, commerce, life and other fields. By 2025, the annual electricity replacement electricity will reach 3.6 billion kWh.
