du, a subsidiary of the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with Masdar City to build and develop a center of excellence for the fifth generation technology in Masdar City in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Du said in a statement yesterday that the agreement was signed during the GITEX Global exhibition, explaining that it will cooperate with “Masdar” to develop and activate a new platform for smart city systems, which combines infrastructure or open and shared data and smart applications, to provide a level of Unprecedented high value services.

She added that the project also includes the development of an advanced command and control center for smart city systems, as well as a center of excellence for the fifth generation technology, in which a range of highly efficient technologies are displayed.
