The number of unemployed people registered in the
Offices of the State Public Employment Service
(
SEPE
) at the end of September, has risen by
17,679 people
(0.6%) in relation to the previous month.
This is a smaller increase than usual and follows the general trend of this month, marked by strong seasonality after the summer campaign.
In this way, the total has stood at
2,941,919 unemployed
, the lowest figure in a month of September since 2008. In year-on-year terms, compared to September 2021, unemployment has decreased by 315,883 people (-9.70% ).
Social Security wins almost 30,000 affiliates, 0.14% more
Social
Security
gained 29,286 affiliates in September, reaching 20,180,287 employed, which translates into a rise of 0.14%, according to data published this Tuesday by the
Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration
.
The increase in September exceeds the average for the same month in the 2017-2019 period, before the pandemic (17,480 more affiliates).
In year-on-year comparison, the growth of affiliates is 649,176.
In seasonally adjusted terms, affiliates increased by 51,079 people, to a total of 20,224,355 affiliates.
Thus, 17 consecutive months of increase in employment are accumulated in this form of measurement.
