“Turkish state-owned energy importer Boru Hatlari ile Petrol Tasima AS, or Botas, is seeking to defer part of the payments until 2024,” the statement said.
It is noted that Botas and Gazprom declined to comment on the situation.
Earlier, the head of the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Fatih Donmez, said that the country managed to overcome "another big step" in relation to gas production in the Black Sea.
