BusinessEurope, an organization representing European employers, estimated on Thursday that high gas and electricity prices pose an "imminent risk" of "production losses" and "shutdowns of thousands of European companies".

The employers' association therefore calls in particular for a relaxation of the framework for state aid to companies in difficulty.

High gas and electricity prices pose an "imminent risk" of "production losses" and "shutdowns of thousands of European businesses", BusinessEurope, an organization representing European employers, warned on Thursday.

In a letter addressed to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the employers' association calls in particular for a relaxation of the framework for State aid to companies in difficulty, an emergency decoupling of electricity prices from those gas as well as the mobilization of all available means of electricity production.
