During their participation in the Dubai Metaverse Forum, which concluded yesterday, local and international companies and institutions presented the latest future technologies that support the Metaverse system, thus enhancing Dubai's position as a leading digital city in the world.

Emirates Airlines announced, during the forum, that it will launch the Metaverse experiences in phases, and initially include four areas represented in the human resources sector and employee services, providing training, products and practices, dividing aircraft cabins, marketing, retail and product testing.

Meanwhile, "DAMAC" announced that the company's online real estate transactions are constantly increasing, recording about 367 million dirhams, each quarter.

In turn, the Dubai Future Foundation announced the organization of the second session of the "Dubai Metaverse Forum" in the period (October 11-12, 2023).

In detail, Khalfan Juma Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, stressed that "the Dubai Metaverse Forum formed a new stage in Dubai's journey to test and develop the adoption of emerging and promising technology, and contributed to strengthening Dubai's position as a destination for metaverse innovations."

He pointed out that "the next session of the forum will review the most prominent achievements made in the UAE and the world in the field of employing metavirs applications to continue the process of designing the future of the economic, government and service sectors."

For his part, Chief Operating Officer of Emirates Airlines, Adel Al Reda, said: “The airline announced its entry into the world of metaverses several months ago,” noting that “the company will launch metaverse experiments in stages, and we focus initially on four areas represented in the human resources sector and services. personnel, providing training, products and practices, compartmentalization in collaboration with third parties, as well as marketing, retail and product testing.”

Al Reda added: "Emirates Airlines continues to develop its services and practices in line with technological progress," noting that "artificial intelligence, data analysis, the use of robots and (Web 3.0 applications) will change many of our daily business."

He stated that "Emirates Airlines will work to develop the skills of employees, with a focus on the importance of future innovations."

He explained, "During the pandemic, we have noticed a shift in the way business is managed, within all sectors," noting that "it is clear that customers want to deal with companies directly in a more flexible, easy, transparent and reliable way."

He continued, "We have noticed that online ticket booking has reached about 50%, compared to the past few years, and we will use Metaverse applications in our daily work, either to serve travelers or to provide services to employees in a faster and more detailed way."

He said, “Metaverse applications provide the opportunity to enter the virtual world in several areas, such as sales, marketing, aircraft cabin design or training employees around the world, which helps to communicate information in a faster and more accurate way and the option of direct interaction with companies, regarding the selection or purchase of a specific product. ».

He stated that "artificial intelligence, data analysis, and the use of robots will be among the most important means in the near future that will contribute to providing services in line with the desire of every traveler," noting that "direct communication between the customer and the company will increase due to the ease of dealing and the absence of an intermediary between the two parties."

For his part, General Manager of Operations at DAMAC Properties and CEO of the D-Labs project, Ali Sajwani, said: “Real estate and fully interactive virtual communities designed in the virtual world of metaverse contribute to achieving significant growth in (pure online sales). ) in Damac Properties.

During his speech at the Dubai Metaverse Forum, Sajwani revealed that real estate transactions that take place online only represent an ever-increasing percentage of the real estate activity of DAMAC Properties, recording about $100 million ($367 million) per quarter, in While the UAE-based company aims to grow that number to $150 million per month by mid-2023.

He continued, "During the outbreak of the pandemic, (DAMAC) continued its efforts in developing various digital channels, especially those related to sales and customer service.

He added: “Although this experience achieved amazing results, it is not an immersive or integrated experience, where the interaction with the customer is somewhat limited. Therefore, we started investing in the world of Metaverse in a new and innovative way, by adopting the digital twin technology for all Our assets and our communities, in order to allow our customers to preview and view the villas and apartments they want to buy virtually before they complete the purchase.”

In turn, Microsoft presented its mixed reality glasses (Microsoft HoloLens 2) for the first time in the UAE during the events of the forum, and its 3D mixed reality device has the ability to enhance productivity and improve the level of operations across various sectors.

In addition, in conjunction with the holding of the forum’s activities, the Diplomacy Lab announced a new initiative to launch the first of its kind membership in the non-fungible digital tokens system (NFT), with the aim of attracting outstanding students and those interested in developing and creativity in diplomatic work and finding innovative solutions to international issues to become members. essential in the digital diplomatic community.

The Diplomacy Lab will launch a set of non-fungible tokens for its initiatives aimed at including the sectors of empowering societies, culture, space, technology and spreading tolerance.
