1,343 new buildings completed in Dubai in 8 months

According to data issued by the Dubai Municipality and published by the Dubai Statistics Center, the total number of completed buildings in Dubai, during the first eight months of this year, reached 1,343 new buildings.

According to the data, which "Emirates Today" obtained a copy of, the new buildings were distributed during the period between last January and August, with 817 buildings for "private villas", 260 buildings for "investment villas", and 106 "multi-storey buildings". The number of public buildings is 93, and industrial and 67 buildings.

The statistics showed that private villas topped the list of completed buildings, accounting for 60.8% of the total buildings, followed by investment villas with a share of 19.4%, then multi-storey buildings with 7.9%, followed by public buildings with 6.9%, compared to 5% for industrial buildings.

According to the data, the total number of completed buildings reached 146 buildings during last January, compared to 153 buildings in February, bringing the number to 205 buildings during March, compared to 158 buildings in April.

The number of completed buildings during May reached 113, compared to 168 buildings in June, 163 buildings last July, and 237 buildings in August.

Private and investment villas accounted for 80.3% of the total number of completed buildings in Dubai, with 1,077 buildings.

According to Dubai Statistics, this data pertains to buildings completed in areas under the supervision of Dubai Municipality during the specified period (between January and August 2022).

It is noteworthy that, according to data published by the Dubai Statistics Center, issued by Dubai Municipality, the total value of completed buildings in the emirate amounted to more than 8.72 billion dirhams during the first half of this year.
