On September 26, a reporter from China News Agency visited the Punan Flower Market, the largest flower planting base in Songjiang, Shanghai, and found that flower sales here ushered in a small peak.
On the small road of the base, vehicles transporting flowers shuttled back and forth, which was a busy scene.
The flowerbed is full of colorful flowers, attracting many customers to come to inquire and place orders.

Our National Day (before) sales were very good, because part of our main business is old customers, and (the other) part is that we have a relatively good advantage. Our place is standing in the center of the Yangtze River Delta, even customers in Shanghai. It can be done, and then customers in the Yangtze River Delta, such as Changzhou and Suzhou, can come here to get the goods.
[Explanation] Chen Xuetao, a flower dealer, introduced that "Chinese reds" such as azaleas and phalaenopsis are currently the most popular. Their store alone sells more than 10,000 plants a day.

More than 200 merchants doing online stores also ushered in a peak before the festival.
Although affected by the epidemic and high temperature this year, the amount of flowers has decreased slightly, but the popularity is comparable to that of previous years.

Compared with previous years, this year's flowers are relatively out of stock, because this year's weather is hot and there is an epidemic, so the planting volume is slightly reduced, (but the sales volume) is still the same.
[Explanation] Tan Lijun, the relevant person in charge of the Punan Flower Base, told reporters that according to past experience, flower sales will reach their peak during the National Day.
The Punan Flower Market is basically wholesale, so in the same period of previous years, the average daily sales of each merchant could reach more than 10,000 plants.
