With the end of the summer holiday season, dnata Travel has announced the five destinations that accounted for the highest demand from customers for vacations during the summer of 2022, and the five destinations, respectively, are: Turkey, Thailand, Mauritius, the Maldives and Switzerland.
Thailand recorded the highest growth as a destination based on the number of holiday bookings between June and September 2022, compared to the same period last year.

“Travel demand witnessed a strong recovery during the summer season,” said Meera Kittet, Head of Tour Packages Sales at dnata Travel.
Last year, the Maldives, Turkey and Switzerland accounted for more than 40% of our customers’ total bookings during the period from June to September 2021, while 40% of bookings for the same period this year were distributed to 25 destinations.”
She added: “Thailand recorded the highest growth rate, with bookings increased significantly after the country fully reopened to tourism, more flights and value for money offers.
Turkey was the best choice for our customers from the UAE for a vacation in the summer of 2022.”
