Diverse career opportunities for Emiratis at Al-Futtaim Group

 Proceeding from the support and commitment of the “Al-Futtaim Group” to the government’s efforts and plans for Emiratisation in the private sector in the UAE, and in implementation of the pillars of its Emiratisation strategy, the “Al-Futtaim Group” revealed hundreds of job opportunities within the various sectors of the group during the leading recruitment and training exhibition “UAE Careers Vision” 2022. During the first day of the exhibition, the group launched the "Al-Futtaim Digital Academy" for self-learning, which comes as a continuation of the many mechanisms and initiatives of the group's Emiratisation strategy.

The Vice Chairman and CEO of Al-Futtaim Group, Omar Abdullah Al-Futtaim, inaugurated the Senyar pavilion, the group’s Emiratisation platform, at the (UAE Careers Vision 2022) exhibition, in the presence of the Chairperson of the Al-Futtaim Emiratisation Council, Meera Omar Al-Futtaim, and the Chairman of the Resource Development Council. Emirati human resources in Dubai, Engineer Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, and Director General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi.

For his part, the Chairperson of the Al-Futtaim Emiratisation Council, Meera Omar Al-Futtaim, said, "We are proud of the pioneering role played by the Al-Futtaim Group in the UAE labor market as an incubator for developing and nurturing young local talent. We always strive to attract young national talents willing to work in the private sector, and we will work It is always on developing promising national talents by providing opportunities that enable them to showcase their creativity, in line with government directives aimed at building and developing the capabilities of Emirati citizens to meet the requirements of work in the private sector, and provide them with meaningful job opportunities.”

She added: "Through its participation in this pioneering event, Al-Futtaim Group is looking to reach talented Emirati youth in several disciplines to work in the private sector, with the aim of inspiring Emirati youth who aspire to take advanced steps in their career paths and participate in the development of the UAE economy."

Regarding the launch of the “Al-Futtaim Digital Academy” during the Employment and Training Exhibition “UAE Careers Vision” 2022, Meera Omar Al-Futtaim said: “The Al-Futtaim Digital Academy is a pioneering national educational project that supports the vision of the wise leadership in qualifying the people of the country, as the academy is based on a number of One of the basic principles that focus on developing technical, administrative and personal skills in line with the requirements of the labor market in the UAE, noting that the Academy's programs will help those wishing to develop their professional skills and join the "Al-Futtaim Group" or join the work in the private sector in the country in general, to become part of of the workforce that contributes to the overall growth of the economy in the UAE, expressing the aspirations of the Al-Futtaim Group to cooperate with government agencies and other private institutions to create an ecosystem that complements and supports government Emiratisation plans.” 

The launch of the “Al-Futtaim Digital Academy” for self-learning comes as part of the Al-Futtaim Group’s Emiratisation strategy, which focuses on building the capabilities of young national talents by providing specialized educational and training programs that refine their skills, develop their practical capabilities, and raise their readiness for the labor market.

Al-Futtaim Digital Academy works according to a set of basic principles, namely: developing technical, administrative and personal skills in line with the requirements of the labor market, building a promising career in the private sector, providing training and development solutions to the labor market, promoting the concept of self-learning through electronic solutions, standards Global and advanced application mechanisms, and information linking with academic partners to enhance training and development outcomes.

The user can seamlessly register and login to the digital platform through the use of the digital identity (UAEPASS), with the ability to study in both Arabic and English through any of the electronic devices.

The learner can also build his own learning path in line with his career path, in addition to obtaining skill certificates after completing courses and classes to present them to employers or share them on social media.
