According to Bloomberg sources, the relevant permission is contained in the guidance on the application of EU anti-Russian sanctions, which is under consideration.

The new European Commission guidance cited by the agency notes that the transfer of a number of goods, including coal, "should be allowed to combat food and energy insecurity around the world."

Earlier, Vedomosti reported that Russia had found buyers for all the coal that the EU countries refused.

Igor Ananskikh, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy, said that the reorientation of Russian coal supplies to the eastern market will be carried out at an accelerated pace.
