“We have already slightly corrected the forecast and at the end of the year we now expect the import of goods for parallel imports in the amount of at least $20 billion,” Manturov said in an interview with Izvestia.

He said that, according to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, almost $9.4 billion worth of goods have been imported to Russia since the start of the parallel import mechanism on May 17.

Earlier, the Federal Customs Service reported that more than 1.3 million tons of goods were brought to Russia through parallel imports.

Manturov also reported that the parallel import mechanism would be extended for the whole of 2023.
