"Share the empty parking lot in our house and get a parking fee"

Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, announced on the 16th that it would promote the so-called 'My house parking lot sharing project' to solve the parking problem in residential areas where there is no parking lot.

This project is expected to help solve the parking problem by sharing the parking lot with other drivers when the parking lot for multi-family houses is empty.

Homeowners and renters who have parking spaces can participate in the project. If you register the date and time that parking is available for sharing in the smartphone app (Everyone’s Parking Lot), drivers who need a parking space can use the same app for 200 won per 10 minutes. You can use it after paying the fee.

Residents who provide parking receive 70% of this fee.

Seodaemun-gu plans to pilot the project in three dongs, including Sinchon-dong, Yeonhui-dong, and Namgajwa 2-dong, from the end of this month to the end of this year, and then expand it to all 14 dongs from next year.

During the pilot operation period, we recruit 6 shared parking activists, 2 from each building, to promote our business and discover shared parking spaces.

We will also install guide signs and paint in shared parking lots.

Seodaemun-gu mayor Lee Seong-heon said, "We ask for a lot of interest and participation from the residents of the parking lot sharing project."
