Inditex

returns to its path of beating its own records

and weathering any crisis.

After the downturn in the pandemic, and despite the economic uncertainty, the textile group achieved record profits and sales in the first half of this year, between February and July.

Sales reached 14,845 million

euros, 24% above those of the same period in 2021, while profit increased by 41%, to 1,794 million.

In this period "traffic and sales have grown and continue in this trend," explains the group.

Online sales are also growing and

the group expects that by 2024 it will already represent 30% of total sales.

"These results are explained by four key factors: our fashion proposal, a constantly optimized shopping experience for customers, our focus on sustainability and the talent of our people," said

the CEO, Óscar García Maceiras.

Although this semester was complicated, due to the inflation environment and the war in Ukraine (where Inditex closed its stores), analysts expected record results.

Even now, in an economic environment in which consumption is already slowing down, the textile giant

increased its sales between August and September by 11%

.
