Emirates Airlines and United have announced that they have reached a historic partnership agreement that will expand their networks and enable their customers to easily access hundreds of new destinations within the United States and around the world.

As of November 2022, Emirates customers who travel to Chicago, San Francisco and Houston, three of the largest business centers in the United States, will be able to easily continue their flights with United, to and from about 200 cities across the Americas, on a single ticket.

As for the other eight American airports served by Emirates Airlines (Boston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York JFK, Orlando, Seattle and Washington, DC), Emirates Airlines and United will be linked to Interline arrangements.

And “United” will launch a new direct flight between (New York, Newark) and Dubai, starting from March 2023, allowing its customers to travel with “Emirates Airlines” or its sister, “Fly Dubai”, to more than 100 cities.

Tickets for this flight are now up for sale.

Emirates Airlines and United announced their agreement yesterday at a ceremony at Dulles International Airport, hosted by United CEO Scott Kirby, and Emirates Airline President Sir Tim Clark. Boeing 777-300ER", and cabin crew members for both airlines.

Soon, customers of both carriers will be able to book connecting flights with a single ticket, making check-in and baggage transfer faster and easier.

For example, travelers can visit (united.com) or use the United app to book a flight from New York, Newark, to Karachi (Pakistan) or go to (emirates.com) to book a flight from Dubai to Atlanta or Honolulu.

The agreement also provides members of the loyalty program of both airlines with more opportunities to obtain rewards, as Emirates Skywards members will be able to earn miles when traveling on flights operated by United.

Members of the United Mail Plus program who travel on a United flight from New York, Newark to Dubai, can earn and spend miles when they continue their travel on Emirates Airlines and flydubai.

Codeshare flights

Eligible customers traveling on codeshare flights enjoy access to Emirates Airlines and United lounges.

More details about the frequent flyer awards and lounge sharing benefits will be announced in the coming weeks.

Both carriers had recently announced significant investments in customer experience, as Emirates Airlines will modify more than 120 aircraft under an investment of two billion dollars.

For its part, "United" will add 500 new aircraft (Boeing and Airbus) to its fleet, with a focus on a new interior design, which includes screens in every seat, larger overhead lockers and Bluetooth connectivity, in addition to the fastest "Wi-Fi" in the air.
