Mishustin instructed to draw up proposals for the use of the digital ruble by December 19

“By December 19, the Ministry of Finance, together with the Bank of Russia, Rosfinmonitoring, the Federal Tax Service and the FSB, must develop an agreed position on draft federal laws regulating the issuance, organization of issuance and circulation of digital currency in Russia in terms of regulating mining, as well as the use of digital currencies in international settlements” , the statement says.

It is clarified that by the same date the Ministry of Finance, as well as the Russian Central Bank, should send proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers on the use of the digital ruble in the budget process.

Earlier, Chairman of the Association of Electronic Money and Money Transfer Market Participants Viktor Dostov explained the concept of the electronic ruble.
