Headed by Maktoum bin Mohammed, the Federation's General Budget Committee holds its seventh meeting to discuss the draft general budget for the fiscal year 2023

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, chaired the seventh meeting of the General Budget Committee of the Union, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Excellency Mohammed bin Hadi Al Husseini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, His Excellency Khalid Mohammed Salem Al Tamimi, Governor of the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates, in addition to representatives from the Ministry of Finance.

During the meeting, the committee discussed a number of topics, the most important of which are the cash flows of the federal government for the fiscal years 2022-2023 in light of actual expenditures and revenues collected during the current fiscal year, and forecasts for future revenues. 

The committee also discussed the draft general budget of the Federation for the fiscal year 2023 in light of the developments and measures taken by the Ministry of Finance to update the draft general budget of the Federation in accordance with the provisions of Federal Decree-Law No. (26) of 2019 in the matter of public finance. 

The committee directed the Ministry of Finance to complete the necessary procedures to submit the draft general budget of the Federation for the fiscal year 2023 to the Council of Ministers for approval. The committee also reviewed the requests of federal authorities regarding the supplementary budget for the fiscal year 2022 and directed what is necessary in this regard.


The Committee commended the efforts of the Ministry of Finance in the procedures it took to prepare the draft general budget of the Federation for the fiscal year 2023 in coordination with the federal authorities in this regard.
