The basic shopping basket with 30 products at 30 euros that

Carrefour proposed to

alleviate the impact of

prices

on families is already marketed from this Monday and includes a selection of packaged foods, drinks and also drugstore and hygiene, all of the brand own, but does not include fruit or fish and leaves out milk and eggs.

It

does include other items

such as white chocolate, coffee, tuna, sunflower oil or hamburger buns.

They are not discounted products, but will maintain a fixed price until after Christmas,

although most of the items included usually have stable prices, since they are not subject to volatility, as is the case with fresh ones, for example.

There is also

Carrefour cold tea, Simply meatballs, corn, peas, piquillo peppers, pasta

, cookies, salt, flour and cleaning products such as bleach, window cleaner or toilet paper.

From Carrefour they explain that it is a list of products with a fixed price, but that the consumer can buy whatever they want within this list.

Prices will remain until January.

Minister

Yolanda Díaz met this morning

with the associations that represent large distribution, which have transmitted their rejection of the proposal to create a basket with fixed prices, considering that it does not solve the price problem.

Díaz did explain at the end of the meeting that what they are proposing is a "basic, quality shopping basket, made up of products that guarantee a healthy diet in our country", containing fresh products, meat, fish, vegetables, eggs and dairy products and be suitable for coeliacs.

The idea is that its prices are frozen until Christmas

.

Asked if the Carrefour basket meets these requirements, he pointed out that the Government "

does not assess the companies' commercial offers

. "

"It is up to them to choose their composition," said Garzón.

Díaz has stressed that Carrefour has committed to analyzing the Government's proposal.
