The market value of local shares rises to 2.65 trillion dirhams by the end of the week

The market value of local shares rose, at the end of trading week, to reach 2.646 trillion dirhams from about 2.633 trillion dirhams, distributed by 2.087 trillion dirhams for the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, and 559.62 billion dirhams for the Dubai Financial Market.

The performance of local stock indices varied during the week, as the Abu Dhabi market index rose by 0.46% to reach 9,797.17 points, after gaining market gains estimated at 15 billion dirhams, while the Dubai market index declined 0.98% to 3360.83 points.

At the level of trading on Friday's session, the Abu Dhabi market index rose by 0.1%, with transactions recording a total value of 1.1 billion dirhams, coinciding with the increase in the "Borouge" share by 0.3% to 2.94 dirhams, with transactions of nearly 11 million shares.

The share of Metplay rose by 2.26% to AED 2.26, while the share of Alpha Abu Dhabi increased by 0.24% to AED 25.06.

Aldar Properties' share fell by 1.3% at 4.53 dirhams, with transactions of nearly 8 million shares, while ADNOC Distribution's share fell by 0.5% at 4.15 dirhams, and transactions of nearly 9 million shares.

The First Abu Dhabi stock ended its performance stable at its previous price of 18.40 dirhams, with trading close to 10 million shares.

For its part, the Dubai market index rose slightly at the end of Friday's session, by two points, with transactions recorded with a total value of 168 million dirhams, in conjunction with the rise in the share of Emaar Properties by 0.7% at 6.06 dirhams, with transactions exceeding 6 million shares.

Dubai Islamic stock also rose 0.2% to 5.79 dirhams, with trading close to 3 million shares.

Shares of Union Properties decreased by 0.4% at 0.248 dirhams, with trading of nearly 4 million shares.

The Emirates NBD share declined by 0.8% at 12.85 dirhams, with transactions exceeding one million shares.

The most heavily traded stock was Air Arabia, which fell by 1% at 2.07 dirhams, with transactions exceeding 14 million shares.
