The upcoming opening of a new Amazon logistics center in Briec, near Quimper (Finistère), should lead to the creation of 80 to 100 permanent jobs.
In any case, this was announced by the leaders of the French branch of the company two years ago.
Recruitment operations to fill these positions have begun, indicates
Ouest-France
.
The construction of the 9,000 m2 building on a 48,000 m2 plot is sufficiently advanced for some job offers to mention contract start dates set for September 19.
This is particularly the case for future logistics supervisors.
The platform will receive parcels from other sites and route them to customers within a radius of around 100 kilometres.
For this, employees will be recruited in the field of logistics, but also security, upkeep or maintenance.
Half will be Amazon employees, the other half will be hired by service providers.
Forty people will work on site at the start before the workforce gradually expands.
