This is called killing two birds with one stone: with these new sanctions, Washington is acting both against Russian aggression in Ukraine and against the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

In recent weeks, Western sources have reported Russian purchases of Iranian and North Korean weapons, including Iranian

Several targeted companies

According to the press release from

the US Treasury

, several Iranian companies producing these drones or their components as well as a transport company are therefore targeted.

One of the leaders of these companies is also targeted.

By freezing the property and assets of these entities and individuals, the United States therefore wants to hinder the supply of Iranian drones to Russia.

And still according to Washington, this chain of Iranian military drones also equips the Revolutionary Guards, the ideological army of Tehran, included on the American list of terrorist organizations.
