One of the favorite drinks of the Germans will be available again in the Edeka branches in the future.

After a long dispute between Coca-Cola and the supermarket, the Hamburg district court has now decided that the beverage manufacturer must deliver its products to Edeka.

Cola originally demanded a higher purchase price, after Edeka did not want to accept this, the manufacturer stopped the delivery.

Disputes between manufacturers and dealers are actually not uncommon, that a conflict ends up in court, even more so.

The district court's decision must be a blessing for the supermarket: price has seldom been as crucial as it is now.

While supermarkets still benefited greatly from their large range at the height of the corona pandemic, customers now want one thing above all: cheap groceries.

The cola is bought there,

where it is cheapest.

It's no wonder that Edeka's price image is more important than the breadth of its range.

What is annoying for Coca-Cola can at least please the consumer: Cola and other brands of the group are - at least for the time being - still cheaper.
