• Consumption Carrefour is ahead of Yolanda Díaz and proposes a shopping basket at 30 euros

"It will be a basket with fresh products, which will rotate every week", declared the Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, after the meeting she held with the executive director of Carrefour in Spain, Alexandre de Palmas, at the which was also attended by the Minister of Consumption, Alberto Garzón.

Díaz, who has said that he does not make "assessments of commercial proposals" when asked about Carrefour's offer, has also shown his concern for small establishments: "We are aware that small businesses cannot make this effort."

For his part, the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Alberto Garzón, has expressed his concern about the problem of childhood obesity in relation to the loss of purchasing power of Spanish families, who "having fewer resources have twice as many cases of obesity" .
