As the yen depreciates to the level for the first time in 24 years in the foreign exchange market, the Ministry of Finance, the Financial Services Agency, and the Bank of Japan have decided to hold an extraordinary meeting of executives from 4:45 pm on the 8th.

The meeting will be attended by Finance Minister Kanda, Financial Services Agency Commissioner Nakajima, and Bank of Japan Executive Director Uchida.

The extraordinary meeting is expected to exchange opinions on trends in the financial market, such as the foreign exchange market, where the yen has weakened for the first time in three months since June, and to discuss future responses.
