The market value of local shares reached 2.63 trillion dirhams at the end of Friday's trading

At the end of Friday's session, the market value of local shares amounted to about 2.63 trillion dirhams, distributed by 2.07 trillion dirhams for the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, and 561.21 billion dirhams for the Dubai Financial Market.

Local shares attracted liquidity momentum during yesterday's trading, exceeding 1.24 billion dirhams, with a trading volume of 141.79 million shares, through the implementation of 12.29 thousand transactions.

In detail, the Dubai Financial Market index closed its trading yesterday, down by 0.6% at the level of 3394 points, with transactions worth a total of 199 million dirhams.

This came in conjunction with the decline in the shares of 16 companies out of the 32 companies that were traded yesterday, while the shares of 11 companies rose, and five remained stable.


Shares of "Emaar Properties" decreased by 0.6%, shares "Emaar Development" by 1.7%, shares "Emirates NBD" 0.76%, and shares "Dubai Islamic" by 0.85%. 



The most heavily traded shares were «Dubai Financial Market» company, which decreased by 1.72% to 1.71 dirhams, with a turnover of more than 15.67 million shares, with a value of 26.76 million dirhams.


On the weekly level, the general index of the Dubai market decreased by more than 1.9%, losing 69 points compared to the closing session of Friday, August 26, 2022.


While the Abu Dhabi FTSE Securities Market Index rose by 0.4% at the end of Friday's session, at the level of 9751.97 points, with transactions worth 1.05 billion dirhams.

This came with the trading of shares of 51 companies, of which 18 companies are high, while shares of 23 companies declined, and 10 remained stable.


«First Abu Dhabi» shares increased by 0.1%, «ADNOC Distribution» shares increased by 0.9% to reach 4.39 dirhams, with transactions exceeding 9 million shares, and «Eshraq Investments» shares by 0.2% at 0.6 dirhams, with transactions exceeding 15 million shares.

On the other hand, «Dana Gas» share decreased by 0.8% to close at 0.947 dirhams, with a trading value of nearly 13 million shares.


Shares of «Multiplay» were the most actively traded shares in the market, stable at 2.11 dirhams, with a turnover of nearly 40.29 million shares.


On the weekly level, the general index of the Abu Dhabi market decreased by an estimated 3.5%, losing 346 points, compared to the closing of the Friday session, corresponding to August 26, 2022.
