“I firmly believe that the time has come to limit the price of Russian pipeline gas going to Europe,” said the head of the EC.

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said that Russian gas in Europe "simply will not be" in the event that the authorities of the European Union introduce a price ceiling for it.

The Kremlin stated that if Russian oil, in the event of the G7 decision on a price limit, does not flow to Europe, then it will go in alternative directions to those countries that operate on market conditions.
