Feng Meng, deputy director of the Raw Materials Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, introduced at the meeting that since the beginning of this year, the raw material industry has developed in a "V" shape, operating below the overall level of the industry, but product prices have gradually returned to a reasonable range.

Among them, the prices of bulk raw materials such as steel, copper, aluminum, cement, and flat glass all fell after reaching the historical highs last year (copper prices were the second highest in history).

In the fourth week of August, the prices of rebar, copper, aluminum, cement, and flat glass dropped by 33%, 17%, 23%, 28%, and 38%, respectively, from the highest point of last year.
