According to the Gazprom Group, Russian gas supplies via the Nord Stream 1 Baltic Sea pipeline have been completely stopped.
The reason is that an oil leak was discovered during maintenance work, the company announced on Friday evening.
A gas turbine cannot be operated safely because of the damage.
Gazprom did not provide any information about the duration of the stop.
