Earlier, The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reported that G7 finance ministers on September 2 will present approval of a plan to set a price ceiling for Russian oil.
“This will completely destroy the market,” RIA Novosti quotes Novak as saying.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that oil producers do not support this absurd proposal.
In July, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that Washington, along with its allies, is working to limit the price of Russian oil.
