In the dispute over important feeder flights by Lufthansa, the Federal Cartel Office has sided with the holiday airline Condor.

The competition authorities have prohibited Lufthansa from ending long-term cooperation agreements with Condor until further notice, as the Bonn authority announced on Thursday.

"On this basis, Condor passengers from all over Europe can continue to use feeder flights operated by Lufthansa and its airlines with a through ticket to the Condor long-haul flight," said Andreas Mundt, head of the Cartel Office.

However, the decision is not yet final.

Lufthansa can file a complaint with the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court within one month.

Condor is in competition with Eurowings Discover, which belongs to the Lufthansa Group and which also serves long-haul holiday destinations from the Lufthansa hubs in Frankfurt and Munich.
