China News Agency, Beijing, August 30th (Reporter Pang Wuji) The reporter learned from China Communications Construction that on August 30, the Etun Brac to Ruoqiang Highway (hereinafter referred to as the General Contracting Branch), which was invested and constructed by China Communications Construction and managed by the General Contracting Company "Yiruo Highway") was officially opened to traffic.

Yiruo Highway is the third major expressway in and out of Xinjiang after G7 Line Jingxin Expressway and G30 Line Lianhuo Expressway.

Its completion and opening to traffic is of great significance for building the core area of Xinjiang's "Belt and Road" and "New Silk Road Economic Belt", building the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, promoting economic development and improving people's livelihood in southern Xinjiang, and driving regional economic and social development.

According to reports, the Xinjiang Wuwei Highway Package Project is located in the core area of Xinjiang in the "New Silk Road Economic Belt", with a total length of about 1,305 kilometers. It is the largest PPP project under construction in China.

Yiruo Highway Project is one of the five sub-projects of Xinjiang Wuwei Highway Package, with a total length of about 294 kilometers. At the starting point of Minfeng Expressway, there are 4 tunnels and 227 bridges.

The whole line adopts the two-way four-lane expressway standard, and the designed driving speed is 120 kilometers per hour in the plain area and 100 kilometers in the cross-mountain area.

The whole line of Yiruo Highway is located in two of the four unmanned areas in China - Altun Mountain and Lop Nur unmanned areas, and the construction is difficult.

During the construction process, difficulties such as no water, no electricity, no network, no food, no materials, and high temperature, high cold, hypoxia, and sandstorms must be overcome.

The construction team opened up a temporary station, built a communication base station, and opened up water supply channels, and this road was created.

It is worth noting that the Yiruo Highway passes through the Lop Nur Wild Camel National Nature Reserve in Xinjiang. The ecological environment is fragile and the environmental protection requirements are higher.

Once the natural environment is damaged during construction, it will seriously affect the survival of endangered species.

In order to minimize the environmental impact of the route, the builders built 176 bridges with a total of 22.78 kilometers within the scope of the protected area, leaving a migration channel for wild animals.

For example, a section of Yiruo Highway in Sibiao was moved from National Highway 315 to the mountain side of Hongliugou by nearly 1 km, and 72 small culverts along the way were consciously changed into large culverts of 4 meters × 4 meters. Give Way.
