China News Service, Chengdu, August 28 (Liu Zhongjun and Hu Zhaohui) State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Company revealed on the 28th that with the drop in temperature, rainfall in many places in Sichuan Province has eased the shortage of electricity.

It is understood that as of 12:00 on the 28th, the general industrial and commercial power consumption in Sichuan Province has all been restored, and except for high-capacity enterprises, large-scale industrial power consumption is gradually recovering.

After the subsequent hydropower supply continues to improve, the large industries will all return to normal electricity consumption.

The continuous high temperature caused a surge in air-conditioning load some time ago. As the temperature dropped significantly, the air-conditioning load decreased by 12 million kilowatts from the highest value on the 28th, a drop of about 52%.

The daily electricity consumption of residents in Sichuan Province dropped from a peak of 473 million kWh to 340 million kWh (August 27).

Overall, with the continuous support of the State Grid Corporation of China, the contradiction between power supply and demand in Sichuan will be basically alleviated in the near future.

In Sichuan Meifeng Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., the staff of State Grid Mianyang Power Supply Company went deep into the enterprise to conduct safety inspections on power equipment and prepare for the next step to fully restore power supply.

"Employees are being recalled, equipment is being debugged, and the power department will come to check power equipment in a timely manner. Full and stable production will be achieved as soon as possible, and full horsepower will be achieved for autumn sowing and autumn seeds." said Yu Lianyong, general manager of Sichuan Meifeng Chemical Technology Co., Ltd.

In Chengdu, Zhang Chi, a worker from the State Grid Chengdu Power Supply Company, and his colleagues went to Mixc City to help the shopping mall check the safety of electricity consumption.

"Some time ago, the main work was to persuade industrial and commercial users to reduce the electricity load and let electricity be used by the people." Zhang Chi said that with the improvement of the power supply situation, the focus of work has shifted to restoring the normal electricity consumption mode of commercial and industrial users.

According to data provided by the State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Company, the daily power generation capacity of Sichuan Hydropower on the 28th was 460 million kWh, a rise of 9.5% from the lowest value in the previous period.

However, due to factors such as insufficient rainfall, the inflow of water and electricity caused by the drought has dropped sharply, and it will take some time to return to normal. The current hydropower generation capacity in Sichuan is still at a low level.
