“First of all, I want to note that not only Bulgaria, but also a number of other EU countries that have joined the sanctions policy against Russia, understand that they will not be able to effectively get through this winter without Russian energy resources.

In addition to the rapid rise in gas prices, problems arise with the financing of the production of goods and with the financing of utilities,” the deputy said.

In his opinion, the EU countries found themselves in a situation where, due to their own stupidity, they incurred the discontent of their citizens and business representatives because of the sanctions policy against Russia.

Gladkikh also noted that Russia's energy resources will sooner or later return to the EU countries, but now it will depend solely on the will of the country's leadership.

Earlier, Energy Minister of Bulgaria Rosen Hristov said that the republic is ready to resume negotiations on Russian gas supplies and Sofia expects a response from Gazprom in the near future.
