Al Habtoor Group revenue grows 19% in the first half

Founder and Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group, Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, announced that the group achieved a strong performance during the first half of this year, with an increase in revenue of 19% compared to last year, and a growth of 36% in EBITDA.

“We achieved good results in 2021 as we witnessed a very promising recovery after the (Covid-19) pandemic,” Al Habtoor said in a statement today, adding: “Last November, I expected to achieve better results in 2022, and I am happy to announce that the results were not disappointing.” The year, as revenue in the various divisions of our group exceeded the recovery achieved during the past year and the results recorded in the pre-pandemic period.”

He stated that "this is evidence that the group in particular and the UAE in general are implementing the correct strategy and positioning," noting that in light of the current turmoil in the markets and geopolitical ambiguities, the UAE is showing exceptional flexibility thanks to the vision and policies set by the leadership and supplemented by local companies.

Al Habtoor continued, "The growth has been distributed across the various units of our group that are involved in several sectors, and the performance of our different divisions reflects the sectors of the UAE economy in which we operate."

He said, "This upward path started thanks to highly qualified skills in crisis management, and in order to overcome major challenges, we have taken several measures to enhance efficiency, consolidate policies and increase revenues."

Al Habtoor added: “All of our hotels in the country are performing very well, as (Al Habtoor Hospitality) forecast for the first half of 2022, an 82% increase in revenue compared to the same period in 2021, and a 190% increase in EBITDA. This is mainly due to the overall increase in bookings and the policy of raising the average room rate.”
