The emirate witnessed the addition of 2,466 hotel rooms during the first half of this year, with expectations of providing about 1,300 additional luxury hotel rooms in Dubai during the second half of the same year.

She added that other cities are expected to see an enhanced supply of popular hotel rooms with 282 rooms in Sharjah, 696 rooms in Ras Al Khaimah, and 175 rooms in Fujairah.

It expected that the number of world-famous hotel rooms in the country will reach 122,000 rooms by the end of this year, rising to 132,000 rooms next year and 141,000 rooms by the end of 2024.

Abu Dhabi hotels, in turn, recorded a growth of 5% during the second quarter of 2021 compared to the second quarter of 2020, while it increased by 33% in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the second quarter of 2021.
