China News Service, August 23. On August 23, media reports said that Xiaolang Zhang, a former engineer at Apple, admitted a charge of stealing trade secrets at a hearing in federal court in San Jose, California on Monday.

A judge has ordered his plea deal to be sealed for sentencing on Nov. 14.

Zhang Xiaolang faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

He was previously accused of stealing Apple's self-driving trade secrets before leaving for Xpeng Motors.
