In response to this, Hino Motors has suspended shipments of the light-duty truck "Hino Dutro", which was launched in 2019, from the 22nd.
The number of units subject to fraud is about 76,000.
Hino Motors has already suspended shipments of all heavy- and medium-duty trucks for which Hino Motors produces engines due to a series of issues that have been uncovered so far, and the number of vehicles found to be fraudulent is limited to light-duty trucks. It is a growing situation.
