Under the bonnet, the GT3 RS takes up the 4-litre flat-six engine of the "normal" GT3, but it has been extensively revised with, in particular, specific camshafts, a single butterfly intake system and a control. rigid valves.

This results in a gain of 15 hp, or 525 hp.

The 7-speed PDK box was also borrowed from the GT3, but with shorter ratios.

Obviously, the braking system has been revised accordingly with larger brake discs (406 mm in diameter at the front and 380 mm at the rear) and thicker.

Carbon discs are still offered as an option with a diameter of 410 mm at the front and 390 mm at the rear.

As on the GT3, there are rims with central nut fitting 275/35 R 20 at the front and 335/30 R 21 at the rear.

Optimized aerodynamics and suspensions

In addition to ventilated wheel arches, the 911 GT3 RS uses active aerodynamics, which allows you to choose between generating downforce for maximum grip (even with an airbrake function), or on the contrary, to promote drag to gain speed in a straight line.

The aerodynamic research also affects the front suspension arms, now profiled.

On the chassis side, in addition to a 29 mm wider front track and different geometry settings, the directional rear axle offers more dynamic settings.

Three driving modes are offered: Normal, Sport and Track.

The latter offers the possibility of adjusting the suspension (compression and rebound) as well as the differential (in thrust and restraint).

Clubsport and Weissach

Two packs are offered: Clubsport and Weissach.

The first is free and adds a roll bar, a 6-point harness for the pilot and a fire extinguisher.

The second is paying and includes body panels in carbon finish, but also suspension elements in CFRP (a mixture of plastic and carbon fibers), as well as steering wheel paddles with magnetic technology with a more dynamic rendering.

In addition to the Weissach Pack, Porsche also offers forged magnesium wheels that lighten the unsprung masses by 8 kg.
