If the government reduces noise between floors by thickening the floor when building a house, the apartment price will be raised by the same amount as the construction cost.

I also said that I would make the apartment taller, but reporter Han Sang-woo pointed out whether these measures to reduce noise between floors would actually be effective.

The key to the government's measures is that the construction company or the land owner will give the same amount of benefits if they use a construction method that reduces noise between floors.

The impact sound made by children when they run is 41 decibels, similar to the noise of an air conditioner.

The government said that if the floor structure was used to block noise between floors below 41 decibels, the sale price would be raised as much as the construction cost.

A lot of construction companies have the technology to reduce noise by making the floor thicker or adding a rubber-like cushioning material, so they are ready to go.

[Chunhwan Yeo/Director of DL E&C's Media and Public Relations Team: Recently, large construction companies are concentrating on R&D investment to secure inter-floor noise technology.

From structural systems to building materials to sound insulation materials, it can be seen that the technology related to inter-floor noise has been secured above a certain level.]

The government said that if the floor is thickened, the floor height will be lowered, so the apartment building will be able to build higher.

[Won Hee-ryong/Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport: We are thinking that we should provide administrative and financial support so that we can eventually find the full cost for the cost of reducing noise between floors, and not suffer any loss.]

Instead, they said that they would receive a confirmation letter three times for each stage of construction to see if the construction companies were constructing as promised.

It has not been disclosed how much the price will rise as a result of this measure.

As these regulations apply from newly designed apartments, it is expected that apartments with reduced noise will not be available until 5 years after considering permits and construction period.

The measures were limited to lending up to 3 million won to install noise-reducing mats for houses currently being built or existing houses, and asking residents to create their own management committee for complexes with 500 or more households.
