In the Tokyo foreign exchange market on the 16th, the yen exchange rate moved slightly.

The yen exchange rate at 5:00 pm was 133.65 yen to 133.67 yen to the dollar, which is 14 yen weaker than the 15th.

On the other hand, against the euro, 1 euro was 135.78 to 82 sen, an increase of 84 sen compared to the 15th.

The euro was 1 euro = 1.0159 to 61 dollars against the dollar.

A market insider said, ``There is a growing view among investors that the pace of interest rate hikes in the United States will ease as record inflation subsides. There was a move to buy the yen and sell the dollar out of speculation that it would not expand, but there was also a move among importers to buy the dollar needed for settlements, so price movements were limited."
