Investigation acknowledges Israeli army strike killed 5 children in Gaza, says Haaretz
Rockets launched from the Gaza Strip towards Israel, Sunday August 7, 2022, the day of the tragedy.
An internal investigation by the Israeli army would show that the five Palestinian children killed on the last day of the Israeli offensive in Gaza, on August 7, would have succumbed to a strike by the Israeli air force.

An internal investigation by the Israeli army would show it: the five Palestinian children killed on the last day of the Israeli offensive in Gaza, on August 7, would have succumbed to a strike by the Israeli air force.
And not, as Israel claimed, from a failed Islamic Jihad rocket attack.
The incident occurred on the edge of the Faluja cemetery, east of the city of Jabalya.
The information is
published
by the left-wing Israeli daily
Haaretz
, which cites unnamed military sources.
When questioned, a spokesperson for the Israeli army did not confirm the newspaper's information, merely indicating that the event in question was being examined by the military authorities.
The previous day, August 6, a similar incident had killed nine people, including four children, in the same area of Gaza.
Israel had also claimed, with film evidence, that it was the result of the accidental landing of Palestinian rockets.
In three days of confrontations, 1,100 rockets were fired at Israel.
Two hundred fell in the Gaza Strip, according to figures released by Israel and picked up by media around the world.
