Abu Dhabi hosts two events to showcase technologies in construction, manufacturing and modern technology

The two upcoming events will witness wide participation from major government institutions.

Abu Dhabi is preparing to host two of the most anticipated events, the first of their kind in the region, the Middle East Design and Building Week and the Middle East Industry and Technology Exhibition, from 12-14 September 2022 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).

The event aims to showcase the most important technologies and innovative solutions in the field of construction, manufacturing and modern technology.

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry also seeks, by organizing the two events in partnership with the Connect Company, to accelerate technological development in the construction, design and manufacturing processes.

The two upcoming events will witness the wide participation of major government institutions represented by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi, the Ministry of Economy, the Emirates Chambers, the Department of Culture and Tourism, the Royal Institute of British Architects, the British Furniture Contracts Society, the Chartered Institute of Building, the Industrial Technology Association, and the Abu Dhabi Center National Exhibitions Company, and Etihad Airways.

The event will have wide participation from major international and local companies specialized in the fields of construction, manufacturing and modern technology. The exhibition will witness the presentation of innovative products and solutions, other systems, modern technology, digital revolution means and the fourth generation of various companies.

As part of Abu Dhabi's industrial strategy, which aims to enhance the emirate's position as the most competitive industrial center in the region, the Abu Dhabi government announced an investment of 10 billion dirhams through six ambitious economic programs that seek to double the size of the manufacturing sector in Abu Dhabi, to reach 172 billion dirhams by year 2031.

The initiatives of this strategy will focus on the most important basic industrial sectors, namely: the chemical industries, the machinery and equipment industry, the electrical industries, the electronic industries, the transportation industry, the food and agricultural industry, and the pharmaceutical industries.

Mohammed Hilal Al Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: "Today, Abu Dhabi stands at the top of economic transformation by making qualitative shifts in the manufacturing and industrial growth sectors, and to strengthen the position of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as a global center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution."
