Emirates Airlines announced yesterday that it will resume operating its giant A380 aircraft to Perth from the first of December, as part of its plans to return its services to Australia to pre-pandemic levels.

The carrier said in a statement that the use of the giant plane, instead of the Boeing 777, currently operating between Dubai and Perth, will raise the seat capacity provided by Emirates Airlines on this line to 500 seats per flight.

This announcement coincides with Emirates' celebration of the 20th anniversary of launching its service to Perth, Western Australia.

Flight EK 420 will leave Dubai International Airport at 2:45 am, arriving in Perth at 5:20 pm the same day, while the return flight EK421 will leave Perth at 10:20 pm, arriving in Dubai at 5:25 pm. The next morning.

In addition to Perth, Emirates operates two daily A380 flights to Australia, the first to Sydney and the second to Melbourne, as well as one daily flight between Dubai and Brisbane.

In a separate statement, Emirates Airlines announced the signing of a new codeshare agreement with Greek carrier AEGEAN, allowing its customers to seamlessly continue traveling to eight destinations in Greece via Athens, using a single ticket and consistent baggage policy.

Mykonos, Thera, Rhodes, Thessaloniki, and Alexandropoulos.

According to the statement, under the agreement, Aegean will place its code on Emirates Airlines flights between Dubai and Athens, providing its customers with smooth flights to and through various Emirates Airlines destinations to and through Dubai.

It is noteworthy that Emirates Airlines currently serves Athens with 12 flights a week with Boeing 777 aircraft.
