“In other words, the embargo on the shipping of Russian oil, which the EU introduces from 2023, will punish much more Europeans themselves than Russia.

In this case, the EU still has time to adjust its own sanctions and abandon such an embargo,” Pushkov wrote on Telegram.

He warned that in the event of an embargo, EU countries would suffer from the restrictions imposed more than Russia.
